About me

I qualified from the University of Brighton with a Postgraduate Diploma in Person-centred Counselling, and am a member of the British Association for the Person-Centred Approach (BAPCA).
I have a private practice, where I work with individuals, couples, children and young people, and I have experience of working with a wide range of issues. I have previously seen clients in a preventative mental health centre. I am a tutor on two counselling courses in a local college, where I teach counselling skills. I have been a volunteer bereavement counsellor with Cruse Bereavement Care since 2005, and currently work with bereaved children and young people. I have completed Supervision Training with Cruse, and now supervise Cruse Bereavement Volunteers.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). As required by the BACP, I am in regular supervision and follow an ongoing programme of continued professional development.
I am covered by professional liability insurance.

I am a qualified teacher, with a PGCE, and have worked as a primary school teacher, teaching 7 - 11 yr olds. I spent three years working as an Advisory Teacher working for East Sussex County Council, providing training for teachers across the county.
I have a BA (Hons) in English and American Literature.
